The Story Behind BiyoWellness

Why Our Journey Into Wellness Began

The Story Behind BiyoWellness

As BiyoWellness enters its third year, we would like to take this moment to thank everyone who has supported us along this journey.

Whether you discovered us through our content, joined our live sessions, shared our work with friends, or trusted the products we offer, your support has allowed BiyoWellness to grow over these past three years.

Many people have asked us a simple question. Why did we start BiyoWellness? Today we would like to share the real reason behind it.

When You Become Parents

Our journey did not begin with a business idea. It began when our eldest son was still an infant.

At birth, doctors noticed a condition that required monitoring. We were told to observe and wait to see if things would resolve naturally. As new parents, we trusted the process and hoped everything would be fine. Months later, we were referred to a specialist because the condition did not improve.

During that consultation, we were advised that a minor procedure is necessary. As parents of a child who was not even one year old yet, the thought of putting our baby through a medical procedure was extremely difficult.

What stayed with us was not just the medical recommendation, but the feeling of helplessness that parents sometimes experience in moments like these.

On top of that, the specialist we consulted was neither sensitive nor particularly helpful in the way the message was delivered. The response felt harsh, especially for parents who were already anxious about their infant child.

We eventually sought a second opinion and received much more assurance and guidance. To be clear, we fully understand that there is no such thing as a guaranteed outcome in any surgery, no matter how minor it may be. We were not expecting anyone to babysit our feelings. But as parents who were clearly unfamiliar with the situation and seeking guidance, a little kindness in the choice of words would have gone a long way.

When people come to doctors, they come with uncertainty and fear. What they often need most is not just medical advice, but reassurance that they are being guided with care and understanding.

At that time, we were simply parents trying to understand what was best for our child.

Life Tested Us Again

Years later, when our son was six years old, we faced another difficult chapter.

He developed a prolonged fever which later required hospital admission and extensive medical testing. For days we watched our child go through testing after testing while doctors tried to determine the cause. More than 3 tubes of blood had been extracted.

Eventually doctors identified that he had developed a rare autoimmune condition that normally appears much later in adulthood. He was only a young child.

From that moment onward, we had to become much more careful about how we supported his health and wellbeing.

Growing Up With Challenges

Living with this condition has not always been easy for him. There were times when bruises appeared without obvious reasons. Physical activities could sometimes be difficult and he occasionally experienced joint discomfort.

Children at school did not always understand. Sometimes they called him names because he could not always run or move as freely as they could.

For a young child, that can be very hard. For parents, it is even harder to watch.

Later, when he was ten years old, he was also diagnosed with dyslexia. Once again, we found ourselves learning, researching and trying to understand how we could better support him.

What We Began To Learn

Through these experiences, we started looking much deeper into health, nutrition and how the body works. We began to realise that health is not only about fighting illness. It is also about balance.

The immune system does not simply need to be stronger. It also needs to be balanced in the way it responds. Understanding this changed how we approached food, nutrition and wellness in our family.

Discovering Stingless Bee Honey

Around this time we were fortunate to learn more about stingless bee honey and stingless bee propolis through relatives involved in the stingless bee industry.

What fascinated us was not simply honey itself, but the unique properties these natural substances have been valued for across many cultures.

We did not approach these as cures or medical replacements but instead, we began to understand them as powerful natural foods that could support overall wellness when used as part of a balanced lifestyle.

This discovery opened the door for us to learn much more about natural ingredients, antioxidants and how different supplements support the body in different ways.

The Beginning of BiyoWellness

BiyoWellness was not created because we wanted to sell products. It was created because we wanted to understand wellness better.

The more we learned, the more we realised that many people are searching for the same knowledge. People want to understand how their bodies work and what they can do to support their own wellbeing.

The butterfly became our symbol because it represents hope and transformation. Just as a butterfly goes through change, we believe knowledge can change how people approach their health.

Moving Forward

Three years later, BiyoWellness continues to grow, but the reason we started remains the same. It was never just about honey or supplements. It was about learning. It was about understanding the body and most importantly, it was about hope.

Hope that by learning more and sharing what we discover, we can help families make better informed choices about their own wellness journey.

To everyone who has supported BiyoWellness over these past three years, we sincerely thank you.

Your support means everything to us.
